Recent paintings are based on our hikes. Up till now longdistance hikes through Germany, Scotland, England and The Netherlands. Hiking has been a favourite thing for my wife and me over the years. Only recently this is resulting in paintings. Landscapes that we have walked through, sometimes 6 or 8 days depending on the total distance. Also shorter hikes will result in paintings.  Most paintings are painted over old works, this is why they often have a rough surface. The images have to inspire me as a painter. A little older work on this page is based on parts of old slides and polaroids, various images turned into paintings in that period.
